The forces of oddness

I spoke to my little brother today (me eating my lunch, him eating his dinner). He is growing a spider plant in a teapot for his Spanish teacher.

I am proud.

Could I have a translation for the literal-minded?

Are you proud that he is growing something?
Or of his choice of plant pot?
Or is doing something nice for his Spanish teacher?
Or that his is showing youthfu,l endearing eccentricity?

Primarily the last, ish. I am proud that he is an oddball, and has the self-confidence to express his eccentricity - and (tongue a little in cheek) that I have guided him in the ways of oddness.

Ladies and gentlemen, the boy is one of us...

And a little bit of one and two - in that this manifests itself in plants and teapots.
